Esher Hand Kitchen Painters team up with Farrow & Ball

Here at Indigo Blue Surrey we love to display our skill of Hand Painting Kitchens. In early February we were invited by Natasha of the Farrow and Ball showroom in Esher to participate in their informal but very professional demonstration event entitled “How to Decorate your Kitchen”. The event’s focus was a live demonstartion on how to transform your kitchen’s cabinetry with durable Farrow and Ball finishes. The event was by invitation to Farrow and Ball’s valued customers and we were of course thrilled to find that it was fully subscribed.

For the hand painting demonstation we used one of their beautiful new paint colours ‘Duck Green’. This was suggested by the Colourist who also gave a very informative and helpful talk on choosing the perfect colour for your project. The kitchen cupboards doors that we used were donated by Bruce Sizeland from his kitchen company in Esher.

We started our demonstration following Farrow and Ball’s recommended process, hand-painting primer in the direction of the woodgrain and of course talked attendees through each stage of the process. This was followed by the application of two topcoats of estate eggshell to achieve a beautiful professional and hard wearing finish.

The event was a huge success and thanks to all involved. Hopefully it has encouraged the attendees to take the plunge and refurbish their kitchen cabinets or maybe make a change to the colour and repaint their existing kitchen units. Alternatively, we at Indigo Blue Surrey are always at hand to help and would be delighted to do the hard work for you! Being a team of two we get the project done in half the time thus minimising the disruption. New Year how about a Kitchen Makeover!
